Who we are

CHRONOSELF is operated by Subversive Symmetry ("we"). We are the data controller for the personal data processed through https://chronoself.xyz. Contact for any privacy matter: cesar.lima@subversive-symmetry.com.

What we collect and why

• Account data — name, email address and a one-way hashed password. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) so you can sign in and use the service.
• Journal entries and simulations — the text you write and the outcomes generated from it. Legal basis: contract, plus your explicit consent given at sign-up, because entries may contain sensitive information about you.
• Security data — IP address, sign-in events and password-reset requests, kept for 90 days to protect accounts against abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Subscription status — if you subscribe to Pro, Gumroad processes the payment. We only store your license key, subscription ID, billing period and whether it is active; we never see your card details.

AI processing

When you run a simulation or a data recap, the relevant entry text is sent to our AI provider, Groq, Inc. (United States), solely to generate the response. It is not used by us for advertising or profiling. Transfers outside the EEA rely on the provider's Standard Contractual Clauses. Write only what you are comfortable having processed this way.

Cookies

We use a single strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and fonts and scripts are served from our own server — so no cookie banner is required.

How long we keep data

Your entries and simulations are kept until you delete them or your account. Security logs are deleted automatically after 90 days. When you delete your account, all of your data is erased immediately and permanently.

Your rights

You can, at any time and from the account panel inside the app:

• access and port your data — "Export my data" downloads everything as JSON;
• rectify your name and email;
• erase your account and all associated data.

You can also object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent (by deleting your account), and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Portugal, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt). For anything else, write to cesar.lima@subversive-symmetry.com.
